Spit operates with an extreme compression of the usual materials of Improvised Music. The usual materials get cut out and enlarged, they are beeing viewed as sonic rooms, which enable the musician to develop a kinetic freedom with the details of the material and the articulation in time. Therefore the narrativity of the music is rather comparable to minimal music than to Jazz. Spit crosses the borders of Noise, Drone, Jazz and Improvised Music.
